H.E.L.P. is a community-centered, grassroots task force that endeavors to put an end to gun violence in our community. We work in partnership with the city of Saginaw. We believe change happens when each of us takes accountability for our part of the village.
We formed as a group of concerned men in our community, who are tired of the senseless violence that has plagued our community for too long. We are just ordinary men who have decided to band together to build a brotherhood of support to bring peace. Individually we have influence, we are a force. We desire to see everyday men get involved with solving the issues that plague our community. We must stop looking for others to fly into our community with an “S” on their chest to save the day. We must be the change we desire to see.
· We've created a youth mentoring program that targets the exact population that is most often the perpetrators of violence or are victims of these senseless acts. We have an open-door policy with schools, parents, law enforcement, homeless shelters, AAU coaches, and most entities that work with youth between the ages of 11 and 26. They can contact us with youth showing signs of going down the wrong path.
Impacting our Community with healing, engagement, love, and our presence.
